Another inimitable 1970’s exploration centring on man’s woeful inability to fully accept his arbitrary, nonsensical existence, and the complete lack of any tangible evidence whatsoever of god / aliens / ghostie-bonks, or even watchable latter-day Ridley Scott movies. Along with the equally deranged Chariots of The Gods’, ‘The Force Beyond’ is must-see TV, and proof positive, yet again, that the world is nutball enough without inventing a god or errant space gremloids! Grab a chilly sixer out of the fridge, decant said frosty ale into a decent pint glass, allow head to settle and rapidly discharge amber loveliness into the gaping wet hole in the lower quadrant of your head - REPEAT AS NEEDED. Of course, drinking along with potent medications whilst viewing this gonzoid film will greatly improve your entertainment experience!

Legendary, over-zealous, and opportunist absurdity about our elusive alien brethren. An exemplar of the 1970’s seemingly unilateral obsession with myths and mythology; naturally, the greatest myth being the, as-yet, unproven existence of earth-curious intergalactic duders. ‘Overlords of The UFO’ is probably the most ludicrous and specious all all the giddy, cash-in ‘documentaries’ about this post-Spielbergian phenomena. Your cigar-shaped object would never be the same again! This gonzoid, insensible work is without peer, and makes for utterly magnificent entertainment, and should be mandatory viewing for all earthlings, young, old, credulous or incredulous. (I always felt that should aliens exist, they wouldn’t resemble anything quite so anthropoid as depicted in films like this; it all seems to have sprung ready-to-wear from the lurid pen of some paranoid sci-fi writer. Frankly, aliens don’t seem alien enough for me.
